Requirements


The primary purpose of our Production Supervisor is to supervise the employees and processes of a production area to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and production goals are met

Responsibilities/Duties



  • Assist with staff management including documenting and communicating objectives, conducting performance appraisals as needed, and appropriately addressing individual or group performance issues

  • Assist with assigning, training, and developing staff based on experience and departmental goals

  • Assist with developing goals and objectives, and measuring outcomes to ensure goals are met

  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

  • Evaluate, recommend and implement changes to materials, equipment, tooling, products and processes

  • Ensure that daily operations are safe and effective

  • Daily monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Measurements

  • Ensure that all team members are following proper work instructions and FDA requirements

  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary


Required Skills



  • Must be a team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest


Must have the ability to:



  • Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment



  • Guide, direct, and motivate staff


Must have:



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English

  • An understanding of Lean Principles



Preferred Skills



  • Visual Factory skills (5S, Visual controls, etc.) preferred

  • Value stream management expertise preferred

  • Working knowledge of error-proofing and pull systems preferred

  • Root cause analysis skills preferred


Required Experience



  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role directing other employees

  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)


Preferred Experience



  • Experience supervising at least 3 employees in a manufacturing environment preferred


Required Education



  • High School Diploma or GED



Preferred Education



  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or an equivalent field preferred
